Game Introduction
Both Snake and numbers are classic members of the gaming library, and now they've been combined in Snake 2048.io. The snakes have evolved past the need for standard biological bodies and have transcended the world of math. As a result, they've taken on cube-like forms, which are determined by the number proudly displayed on each side.
Still, each snake needs to eat and must do so by consuming the number-cubes in their surroundings. Only by doing this can the cube snake hope to thrive and become the biggest and longest. The snakes are using math to feast and fight.
The field is big and ripe with numbers, but the build-up is slow, and that's where you need to think. It will take some time for your cube to gather strength, so you'll need to be patient and spend some time in the fields to increase your strength and have it mean something. The alternative is becoming another snack in someone else's cube tummy.
How to Play
Snake 2048.io is a 3D arcade game about snakes made of cubes and numbers trying to eat each other. Control your snake with the mouse or keyboard. Move the cursor and the snake will follow. Using the left mouse button or W/Up Arrow will cause it to dash (with a stamina meter appearing above their head) since the snake will always be moving forward constantly.
The goal is to become the biggest cube snake in the area by reaching 2048. The rankings will be shown in the top right corner of the screen so you can see your placement. If you get attacked by a bigger snake, you must start from square one.
Before you begin, give your snake a name to stand out in the crowd. After that, you can roam around the area and start feasting. The ground will be littered with a small number of cubes that you can gather for yourself or add to your tail. Cubes with the same number will combine to form a bigger cube with the sum, affecting the snake's head, too.
There will be other snakes also trying to gather numbers that will try to hunt you. If your number is bigger than the opposing snake, you can beat and consume their cubes. You can also find power-ups like the Flame, giving you a temporary supercharged dash. Keep going until you reach the top rankings and the fabled 2048.
PC and Mobile Interaction
Player 1: Move with MOUSE cursor or A/D keys. Turn left with A/Left Arrow, turn right with D/Right Arrow. Dash with LEFT-CLICK or W/Up Arrow/SPACE. Player 2 (local): Move with LEFT-RIGHT ARROWS, boost with RIGHT SHIFT.
Touch controls for moving and dashing. The snake follows your touch movement.
Tips & Tricks
Since this is an io game, the field will be shared by multiple snakes, all going after the same areas filled with cubes. As long as you can gauge the progress of your nearby snakes, you shouldn't feel threatened and can feed alongside them.
It's worth the time to build yourself up slowly in safe areas before you start going after other snakes. Avoid high-numbered enemies and defeat the lower-numbered ones to grow safely.
Merge as many cubes as possible to reach the highest number. Keep an eye on the leaderboard to track your progress and know when it's safe to engage other snakes.
